A full tear-off roof replacement installing GAF Timberline HDZ UHDZ shingles in Barkwood.
This project began with a full tear-off of the existing roof, removing the old shingles and underlayment down to the decking and pulling all exposed nails before installing the new roof system.
The new roof was built with a GAF Timberline HDZ UHDZ upgrade in Barkwood, over GAF Feltbuster synthetic underlayment and GAF StormGuard leak barrier at vulnerable areas, with new drip edge and GAF Pro Starter strip shingles installed along the eaves. GAF Royal Sovereign ridge cap shingles finished the roofline.
Additional work included sealing and priming all roof pipe penetrations, a GAF Cobra Ridge Vent and GAF Master Flow Vent for attic ventilation, a gable cornice return repair, and a rain diverter flashing replacement. The steep and high-roof sections of the property required additional labor beyond a standard base install.
